How to Survive The Last Couple of Weeks of Winter

Winter is almost finished. We’re starting to see more and more sunbeams here in The Netherlands, and so the temperatures are slowly rising. We started to notice a difference in what people wear outdoors: the semi-winter coats are pulled out of people’s closets.

Beautiful, you would think, but unfortunately, the sun isn’t always shining throughout the week. It’s still mostly raining and the wind still feels very chilly. So, how do you survive the four seasons combined in the last couple of weeks of winter?

@sophiamolen

Pretty easily actually. For one, make sure you still have your winter jacket hanging around. Sun not shining, wind too chilly or it’s raining? Put on the winter jacket. Do you feel like your winter jacket is too thick? Then consider buying a jacket that fits the winter-spring transition. Take a look at Style Italy for example, there are numerous thick and thinner winter jackets for women with fur. FYI, for the guys, there is also a huge range of winter jackets for men available.

Second tip is to purchase a quality umbrella. You might think I’m overexaggerating, but it feels like it’s the rainy season over here. Why a ‘quality’ umbrella you may ask? Well, this country is the master of hard, quick and chilly winds. It’ll blow your umbrella into pieces if it’s made from poor materials.

Third tip is checking the weather forecast! If you know what’s the weather is heading towards you then you’ll know which clothes to wear. Better be prepared than sorry, right?

Fourth tip is, just stay inside your house and don’t leave until it’s in the middle of spring. It’s the warmest and comfiest place to be at this moment.
