No Greater City Than The ‘Go’

CHICAGO – There is no greater city than the ‘Go’ – ask any true Chicagoan and they will undoubtably proclaim this. Despite having called many cities my home over the years – Nassau, Bahamas, New York City and Santander (Spain) – Chicago is my true stomping ground for more reasons than one. I live in the city’s rapidly thriving Logan Square/Wicker Park neighborhood. Although Gotham’s city is famous for its hidden burrows, Logan Square/Wicker Park is one of the few most famous for its culture and cool. Chicago is a city filled with communities diverse in fashions, the Magnificent Mile remains the trendiest, where it’s chic city patrons can be found emulating fashion’s latest ensembles, while Logan Square/Wicker Park maintains the title of ‘most stylish’. It’s in this community that I am most inspired by its mix of high and low end fashion, pop culture influences and ‘art imitates life’ aesthetics. It is here that I am also my most comfortable self, wearing my personality on my sleeves…and shoes, jackets, etc. A true ‘mix’ myself, the boheme and rocker chic in me is at ease in a city filled with range. I can be Kylie Jenner incarnate walking around in Alexander Wang and Kimberly Ovitz on Michigan avenue or Rush st, or Erin Wasson-ish at Grant park during Lollapalooza or around Wicker Park’s ‘Six Corners’. I live in a world that is always evolving and I have a long standing relationship with an industry that is always changing. Chicago culture embodies these dynamics and is, as a result, my favorite city.
