I honestly love the new ear party trend – nothing cooler than an entire ear fully pierced with gorgeous little earrings. But piercings scare me to death, especially the ones in cartilage. I would rather go to the dentist than get my ears pierced. Little childhood trauma, lol.
You can imagine how happy I was when the ear cuffs trend started several years ago. It’s basically an open little ring that stays on by pressing tightly on the ear. You can just wear them for the day, without having a permanent pocket in the ear. Best discovery ever, right?
Did you know that centuries back the ear cuff was called “Kaffa“? They might be relatively new to me, but they actually aren’t at all. They are considered traditional jewelry pieces in many cultures. Especially in Asia, the ear cuff has been popular for weddings and festive occasions for a really long time. So, nothing really new, but definitely worth a try if they are new to you!
When I first found out about ear cuffs, it was just really hard to find cute ear cuffs of great quality. But luckily, the jewelry market has picked up on it. A lot of cool jewelry brands do offer lovely ear cuffs now.
I personally love the styling idea to put two ear cuffs together. It gives that ultimate bohemian rock feeling. Cool yet cute. It gives that bit of an edge to your personal style. I also love to mix different materials and colors with each other. Silver and rose gold? Try to wear them together! Some would say they don’t go well together, I say they definitely do. You gotta be a little rebellious when it comes to fashion!
